Know what’s worth improving before you build anything.
A paid look at the work we agree on. One report and a walkthrough: what to fix first, and what to leave alone.
Every Audit starts with a free call.
One report and a walkthrough. Yours to keep.
Whether or not you build anything with us afterwards.
The Discovery Audit is a paid consultation on how work gets done in the part we agree to examine. It covers the tools you use, where information lives and the steps that cause repeated effort, delays or missed handoffs.
The written report.
How the work in scope moves now, where it stalls and who owns each step. Where a person has to decide before something reaches a customer, the public or a budget. Detailed notes on how the work runs sit inside it, or in an annex when the work needs them.
The walkthrough.
We take you through the report, answer your questions, and show where the evidence is strong and where it runs out.
Priorities, including what to leave alone.
What’s worth improving first and why, what already works, and whether a build is justified at all.
Why is the free call not enough?
The call is a conversation. The Audit checks the work. It works like a trade's diagnostic fee: you pay for a written finding before anyone quotes the job.
| The free call | The Discovery Audit | |
|---|---|---|
| Runs on | What you can describe in a conversation | The agreed scope, checked against your records and a walkthrough of the work |
| Covers | The issue you raise | Everything in the agreed scope |
| Findings | Honest observations, clearly partial | Each finding with its evidence and limits |
| Ownership | Discussed | Every step and approval point named in writing |
| Order of work | Not given | Priorities with reasons, including what to leave alone |
| You keep | A clear answer on whether a closer look is worth it | The written report, to use with anyone |
Each finding comes with the evidence behind it and its limits. Where the evidence is thin, the report says so and says what would settle it.
How it runs.
A free call.
The free call helps us understand where work gets stuck and how often it happens. We also ask what it costs you in time, missed opportunities or repeated effort. We’ll talk through what you’ve already tried, offer an initial perspective, and decide together whether a Discovery Audit or a simpler next step makes sense.
A prepared second call, if there’s a fit.
If there’s a fit, we can arrange a prepared second free call with no obligation. We’ll walk through what we learned from the first call and any additional materials you shared, then discuss the next steps. You can stop there with nothing owed. Before any paid work, you’ll receive the scope, fee and required agreements in writing. Buying a Discovery Audit doesn’t commit you to a Build.
The Audit, if you choose it.
It begins once you’ve accepted the written scope and fee. It covers what that scope says. If something outside it looks worth examining, we’ll tell you and agree it separately.
Then a decision that’s yours.
Build with us where the report supports it, take the report to someone else, or do neither. Any build is scoped and agreed separately. Any Audit fee credit toward a Build is agreed in writing before paid work.
What do we need from you?
- One intake form. The shape of the business, where work comes from, and the tools it passes through.
- Your numbers, where you have them. How much work comes through, what a unit of it is worth to you, and what the people handling it cost. We work with whatever you already measure, and record where the evidence is missing.
- A walkthrough. Someone showing us how the work actually moves, usually by screen-share, alongside the records relevant to the agreed scope. We hear from the people involved where the work needs it.
The Audit is diagnostic. We examine the work through what you share; we do not use your credentials or change your live systems.
Start with the free call.
The free call is 30 minutes, with nothing to prepare and no access to your systems. Before any paid work, you receive the scope, fee and required agreements in writing.
